DOLLY PARTON: On Your Mark, Get Set
DOLLY PARTON: On Your Mark, Get Set

If you’re looking for something fun to do while getting in a work-out, head to Nashville this weekend for the inaugural 9 to 5k Run and Walk. The event promises to be a celebration of Dolly Parton‘s life while also raising money for organizations close to her heart – The United Way and the Imagination Library of Middle Tennessee.
The race, which was actually announced in May, also includes a Dolly Dash kid’s fun run and the Stiletto Dash. Contestants are encouraged to wear big hair, rhinestones, business suits and any other Dolly-inspired styled. There is also a costume contest, photo ops and entertainment at the finish line.
For all the details, check the Run Nash website.
It bears mentioning that Dolly always said, “There’s only one sort of exercise I like and it ain’t jogging. If I jogged, I’d end up with two black eyes.” But don’t let that stop you.If you can’t get to Nashville this weekend, you may want to check out one of the Dolly Parton corn mazes located in 20 states and two Canadian provinces this year. The Maize website has specifics, but we can tell you that they are located in Alabama, California, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan (2), Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Utah (2), as well as Alberta and Ontario.
