Repairs have started on Dolly Parton‘s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame after an alleged vandal appeared to have scratched the surface of the square so that her name was almost illegible. It is unclear when the incident took place, but repairs had already been scheduled due to previous cracking.

KNBC, NBC affiliate in Los Angeles, reports that flowers were removed from the makeshift shrine to the queen of country music so crews could come in and replace the marker. Dolly received her star in 1984 in a dual ceremony with her Rhinestone co-star Sylvester Stallone.
