Daylight Saving Time Caught One in Seven Americans by Surprise
Daylight Saving Time Caught One in Seven Americans by Surprise

If you’re dragging because of the time change yesterday, you’re not alone. But one in six Americans want to keep doing what we’re doing. (???)
A new poll for Daylight Saving Time found 64% of us want to stop changing the clocks twice a year, and another 21% still aren’t sure. 16% . . . or one in six . . . like the current system.
Here are a few more fresh stats on our love-hate relationship with springing forward and falling back:
1. Should we switch to permanent Daylight Saving Time, or permanent Standard Time? 43% said Daylight Saving, which is what we’re in now. 28% said Standard, and around 30% don’t have a preference.
2. A majority of us would now support switching to Daylight Saving Time. If it was the only option, 51% would say do it. If Standard Time was the only option, 43% said yes.
3. Did springing forward on Sunday catch you by surprise? 15% of Americans . . . or around one in seven . . . say they “usually or always” forget it’s coming. For people 18 to 30, it jumps to one in four.
