Dale Earnhardt Jr. once accidentally stabbed himself in the thigh with a pocket knife his dad gave him while in church.  He was a teenager in the ’80s at the time.

Quote, “It’s not bleeding for some reason . . . But I butterfly Band-Aid my leg, never told a soul.  I got a scar on my leg still from it.”

His wife jokes that he, quote, “Ricky Bobby’d himself”. In case you forgot,  in “Talladega Nights”, Ricky Bobby stabs himself in the leg with a kitchen knife because he thinks he’s paralyzed.
