Police in Monrovia, California got an unexpected assist while taking a lunch break at Panda Express.

Officers had been trying to arrest a man wanted for a parole violation and had already missed him twice after he escaped by running onto a freeway. But on their third try, the suspect walked right into the restaurant where the officers just happened to be eating. Body camera video shows officers jumping up and taking him into custody on the spot.

Monrovia police joked they weren’t sure if it was good police work or the smell of chow mein that brought him in, but they say the arrest was successful, and yes, the officers went back and finished their lunch. (CBS News)
