A 20-year-old Phoenix man is facing a felony criminal damage charge after police say he destroyed a photo radar camera after it captured him speeding in a school zone.

Investigators say Brandon Ribadeneira was caught speeding, triggering the camera. Police say he then pulled over, knocked the camera down, smashed it repeatedly with a rock, and drove away. Authorities say he later returned with a truck and tried to drag the camera down the street using a strap, causing even more damage. Unfortunately for him, the incident was recorded by the camera itself. Police arrested Ribadeneira a week later, and officials estimate the damage at more than $47,000. (KTVK-TV Phoenix)
