Post Malone's 'I'm Gonna Miss Her' gets the attention of Brad Paisley

Rapper, Post Malone, has always had a love for country, that is no secret. He first crossed into country music in 2021 when he participated in a virtual benefit concert, ‘We’re Texas‘ which was set up by actor, Matthew McConaughey, and wife, Camila Alves McConaughey. This concert is where he originally performed the cover of Brad Paisley’s ‘I’m Gonna Miss Her’ with the help of Dwight Yoakam’s band on various instruments. Even though this happened in 2021, it has just recently been posted this passed Thursday, July 28th, on Post Malone’s TikTok commenting, “Love you Matt, this was fun”.
This Tiktok video got the attention of Brad Paisley himself as he comments, “This is better than me.” and even edited his bio on TikTok to say, “I write for Post Malone.” So it would be safe to say that if Malone would ever try to cross over into country music he would immediately have a fans including Brad Paisley. Many fans are commenting on the video saying they are wanting a full country music album from Post. His reaction to these comments are, “To be honest, there’s nothing stopping me from taking a camera or setting up in my studio in Utah and just recording a country album [to put] on YouTube,” Malone told Howard Stern on SiriusXM’s the Howard Stern Show. “I’m allowed to do that, I’m a human being.”
There is also a mention that there might be a meet up between Malone and Paisley in the near future. Post Malone reached out to Brad Paisley by replying in a TikTok video of his comment saying, “Brad, there’s no shot, man. I love you so fu***ng much, man. Thank you for the love, dude. I owe you a beer, man. Text me. I’ll see you soon,”
