'AGT' act wins a group a Golden Buzzer and a job well done from Dolly Parton

Chattanooga, TN:

America’s Got Talent does it again as they have an act that is taking the internet by storm. Country trio, Chapel Hart, performs an original song on Tuesday’s night episode on July 19th. Usually, original songs are a hit or miss but this song certainly did HIT.  The song is a tribute to Dolly Parton‘s 1974 hit song, “Jolene“, called “You Can Have Him Jolene” meaning that during this time in 2022 ” we could not still be fighting over the same man.. and that you can just have him Jolene.” The crowd seemed to already love the group and so did Heidi Klum as she confesses, “I like them already” before the performance even begins. Simon Cowell also expressed interest as he states that “2-3 minutes can literally change your life,” which seems like he was manifesting it for the group. The performance wows the audience from the very beginning and the crowd roars until the very end.

After the song, it takes a minute for the judges to speak as the audience is so loud chanting for the buzzer. Simon is impressed by the trio as he tells the girls, “I needed you today, that was fantastic!” Howie Mandel says, “I love song, I love the energy, I love the look,” Klum adds on saying that their “joy is infectious” Sofia Vergara lastly states that, “everything was perfect, and I’m so proud of you guys.” These girls have been trying to knock on the door of Country Music in Nashville but it is hard times but this is the moment they have waited for. After discussing who still has a Golden Buzzer to give out and who didn’t, and with big help from host Terry Crews as he comes from behind the stage to convince the judges into a group vote. On the countdown from five all four judges and Crews pressed the Golden Buzzer to open the door for Chapel Hart.

Since the performance just over three days ago, it has surpassed over 3 million views and even caught the attention of Dolly Parton herself. Dolly responded to the group on Twitter saying, “What a fun new take on my song, @ChapelHartBand! Carl’s birthday is today so I think I’ll hang on to him, and I’m not notifying Jolene that today is his birthday.”
