The annual Indian River County Sheriff’s BBQ fundraiser in Florida was a huge success that raised $63,000 for local charities. Unfortunately, people are only talking about what happened inside a porta-potty.

Deputies say 35-year-old Hartley Sanchez, an inmate at the prison who was on a work detail at one of the food booths, slipped away from his post and met up with a woman inside the portable toilet for what investigators called an “unauthorized conjugal visit.” The woman, they later reported, was a former inmate identified as 36-year-old Elizabeth Greer.

Sanchez now faces a new felony charge for attempted escape, which could add up to 15 years to his sentence. Greer, who remains on probation, has not been charged.
