The Future of Country Music: Juna N Joey & Colton Pointz

Earlier this week, WUUQ 97.3/99.3 was lucky enough to have two up and coming country music acts stop by the studio and they were able to spend some time with Gino D for an interview and played some songs for us

First was Juna N Joey… a singer/songwriter, brother/sister duo. Their popularity exploded organically by posting covers on YouTube with almost 8.5 million collective views and a viral Tik Tok of 10 million views. Juna is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist in the band. Joey is also a singer/songwriter, with power baritone vocals. He is also a multi-instrumentalist with the band. The duo’s harmonies resonate with the familiar perfection that only exists by their natural bond. Our next special guest just a few days later was Colton Pointz.

Colton is from a small town in Southern Florida. Colton began writing music that featured mature and fully developed stories. Blending elements of Country, Blues, Alternative, and Pop, his goal is to create a diverse portfolio of songs that address points of view not commonly mentioned in today’s writing rooms. His move to Nashville has emphasized his commitment to developing meaningful music, a passion he’s carried with him his entire life.
