The Top 5 movies this weekend:

1. Spider-Man: Brand New Day – $18.2 million
2. The Odyssey – $13.1 million
3. Coyote vs. Acme – $12 million
4. By Any Means – $7.5 million
5. Insidious: Out of the Further – $6.5 million

Spider-Man: Brand New Day remained number-one at the North American box office for a sixth consecutive weekend, collecting $23.5 million over the four-day Labor Day holiday. The Marvel adventure has now earned $923 million domestically and $2.4 billion worldwide.

Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey climbed to second with $17.3 million, pushing its domestic total to about $589 million. Coyote vs. Acme followed in third with $15.9 million in its second weekend.

The Mark Wahlberg crime drama By Any Means debuted in fourth place with $9.3 million, while Insidious: Out of the Further rounded out the Top 5 with $8.1 million.
