Nashville Man Steals Krispy Kreme Truck, Claims He Was On A “Quest”
A Nashville man was arrested after allegedly stealing a Krispy Kreme delivery truck from a Walmart parking lot early Saturday morning. Umar Abdul-Malik, 35, reportedly took the truck from a Nolensville Pike Walmart around 7 a.m. on August 29th after being removed from the store. Officers tracked the vehicle and found it heading into a wooded area, where Abdul-Malik was taken into custody. His explanation left officers puzzled — he claimed he was “on a quest” and needed to “accomplish the objective” because “everything was free.” During questioning, he refused to give his name, insisting officers call him “professor.” He also laughed, sang, and made incoherent statements. Police suspected he was under the influence of narcotics. Abdul-Malik faces theft charges for property valued over $60,000. Story URL
