Dolly Parton, 80, received the Poet’s Award at the 19th ACM Honors ceremony in Nashville on Wednesday, accepting the honor virtually due to ongoing health concerns. “Songwriting has been my therapy. Songwriting has been my release, my joy,” she said in a video message shared on Instagram. Parton cited recent health issues, including dizziness and dehydration, as reasons for her absence. She continues to work on her SongTeller Hotel, Life of Many Colors Museum and Broadway musical. Story URL
