A Kentucky woman got an unexpected late-night visitor when a bear wandered into her home through an open front door and helped itself to her leftover KFC.

Kendra North of Harlan County says she and her partner left the door open for fresh air and forgot to close it before bed. After a call from her sister reporting a bear nearby, North discovered the animal inside her house. The bear ate the fried chicken and damaged a glass table before leaving. North says the experience taught her a lesson: the front door stays shut at night, especially during what she now calls “bear time.” (WDKY-TV Lexington)
