A routine traffic stop in Tampa turned into what best be described as an identity crisis on steroids.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office says 28-year-old Bryce Swanson, a Canadian woman, was pulled over after deputies spotted vehicle lighting violations. Authorities say she first gave officers a different name and admitted she didn’t have a driver’s license with her. Things only got stranger from there.
Deputies say a search of the vehicle uncovered 12 different driver’s licenses, all allegedly featuring Swanson’s photo but carrying different names and birth dates. Investigators also say she had overstayed her visa. She’s now facing fraud-related charges, along with charges for driving without a valid license and providing a false name to law enforcement. Authorities say she’s being held without bond due to an immigration hold. (WTVT-TV Tampa)
