Johnny Cash’s personal archive will be permanently housed at Belmont University in Nashville. The collection, secured through an $8.6 million acquisition, will anchor a new Johnny Cash Learning Center inside the Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business. The archive spans Cash’s entire life and career, including unpublished writings. Dr. Mary Ellen Pethel will lead digitization and cataloging efforts ahead of the center’s opening. “Direct access to the personal papers and lyrics of one of the most important artists in American history is something most institutions can only dream of,” said Dean Brittany Schaffer. Story URL
