The Grand Ole Opry will honor country music legend Charley Pride with a special tribute concert on September 22nd. “Opry 100 Honors Charley Pride” will feature performances by Darius Rucker, Pam Tillis, Neal McCoy, and Pride’s son, Dion Pride. Tickets are on sale now, with $5 from every ticket benefiting the Opry Trust Fund, which supports country music professionals facing financial hardships. Pride made his Opry debut in 1967 and became an official member in 1993. Throughout his career, he recorded 29 No. 1 hits, earned three Grammys, and sold tens of millions of records worldwide. “Every single night Charley Pride came home to the Opry was an event,” said Opry Executive Producer Dan Rogers. Story URL
