If you grew up the ’80s or ’90s, you will most certainly remember the iconic Sunny Delight commercial where a group of kids raid the fridge and pass right over the odd “purple stuff” to reach the bottle of SunnyD. Well, you’re an adult now, and SunnyD thinks you might like the “purple stuff.” The company has announced a new vodka seltzer that’s inspired by the old commercial called SunnyD Vodka Seltzer PURPLE. It’s a limited-time flavor described as light and bubbly, with 4.5% alcohol by volume. A spokesperson says, “PURPLE was always the mystery in the fridge. Now it’s the boldest thing in the cooler. We are excited to see the lively discussions start all over again.” It hits select stores nationwide starting this month.
