Science Has Spoken: Whose Farts Smell Worse . . . Men or Women?

Everyone passes gas. But not every swoosh of flatulence is a NOXIOUS, PUTRID STENCH. And THAT can unsettle everyone within the target range . . . family, friends, coworkers, and the entire cabin of an airplane.
Science finally settled the debate of whose farts smell worse: Men or women.
A scientific experiment had 16 men and women eat gassy foods, and then they used “rectal tubes” and “gas bags” in a lab to collect the “releases.”
The gas collected in the bags was then sniffed and rated by two independent judges, on a scale where zero was “no odor” and 8 was “very offensive.” (And you thought YOUR job was bad.)
They found that the flatulence of WOMEN had a much greater odor intensity . . . but MEN produced a larger volume of gas per toot. Researchers say volume can make a bigger impact on noses than the concentration of rotten smell, so the differences between the sexes balanced out in real life.
In other words, it was a TIE.
