9 Year Old Donates “Super-Duper Long” Hair
Nine-year-old Leona Chambers had a dream. She wanted to grow her hair out “super-duper long” and never cut it. But things changed when Leona was inspired to donate her hair and cut it really short.
Earlier this month, Leona followed through on her new plan. She visited a hair salon, where she received her drastic haircut.
14 inches of Leona’s “super-duper long” hair were sent to the charity group Wigs for Kids.
Leona has no regrets. She really likes her new shorter haircut — but admits she can barely get her hair into a ponytail for gymnastics.
The next big decision is looming … She’s already wondering if she’ll keep her hair short — or let it grow out again. (The Tribune)
