In 1990, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce honored Charlie with his own Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and he's a 2008 inductee in the National Radio Hall of Fame on November 8th, as well as his home state Nebraska Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame in 1999.

Afternoon drive talent, Eric Chase, began his career as a Drake "Boss Jock" doing afternoon drive at KGB-San Diego, then joined a legendary team at KFRC-San Francisco. He rejoined Bill Drake at K-100, Los Angeles, along with Robert W. Morgan and The Real Don Steele. Moving on, Chase did afternoons at KFI-Los Angeles, during its Top 40 days. In LA, he also voiced several national TV shows, did dozens of national commercials.
